Gas Pipeline Project "Turkish Stream" can be frozen for an indefinite period because of Turkey's intention to file a lawsuit against "Gazprom" to international arbitration because of the lack of agreement on gas. It is reported by Azerbaijani news agency Trend reported citing sources in the Turkish state energy company Botas.
Russia and Turkey are more than six months can not negotiate a discount on gas, this week ended a contract for the supply of Russian gas, but the parties were unable to agree.
The agency notes that if before the end of the week the parties are unable to agree on the amount of gas prices for Turkey, the Turkish side will submit to international arbitration a claim to "Gazprom", which effectively freeze all bilateral talks on "the Turkish stream."
Earlier it was reported that the construction of "the Turkish stream" may suffer because of a dispute about the price of gas.
