During the Russian aggression in Ukraine, 4.4 million Ukrainians have suffered, more than 300 people are considered missing
During the aggression of the Russian Federation in Ukraine more than 4.4 million Ukrainians were killed, more than 2 thousand soldiers were killed, more than 300 people are considered missing persons.
It informs Tsenzor.NET with reference to the press service of BP, this is the first Vice Speaker Irina Gerashchenko reported May 9, 2018 during a visit to London (United Kingdom), which participated in the round table at the Royal Institute of International Affairs Chatham House topic: "The conflict in the Donbass: human dimension and influence on internal politics".
Thus, Gerashchenko told experts of leading analytical centers of Great Britain about the current security policy and humanitarian situation in the Donbass.
The politician noted that over the period of aggression of the Russian Federation in Ukraine more than 4.4 million Ukrainians were injured and more than 2 thousand soldiers were killed.
During the discussion Irina Gerashchenko reported on a number of issues of the humanitarian subgroup of TKG, which remain blocked. According to her, one of such issues is the introduction of a trilateral mechanism for the search for missing persons in the Donbas with the participation of the ICRC. At the same time, the politician informed that more than 300 people are now considered to be missing.
Also, the representative of the humanitarian subgroup TKG emphasized that the initiative of the Ukrainian side to transfer within the framework of the humanitarian subgroup 23 citizens of Russia, convicted of crimes against the territorial integrity of Ukraine for the release of political prisoners in the Kremlin, unfortunately, remains unanswered.
The first vice-speaker drew the attention of the participants to the discussion that representatives of international humanitarian missions, in particular ICRC, can not visit illegally detained Ukrainians either in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine or in the Russian Federation.
In this case, I. Gerashchenko informed that under such conditions the Kremlin's hostages and political prisoners continue to use torture.

Hague Tribunal orders Russia to pay damages inflicted on Ukrainian companies by Crimea annexation
The Hague-based Permanent Court of Arbitration issued a unanimous judgment that Russia is responsible for violating the rights of Ukrainian investors and should compensate their companies for damages from annexation of Crimea.
"On May 2, 2018, having deliberated, the Tribunal issued its unanimous Award on the Merits, addressing issues pertaining to liability and damages," the court said in a press release, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.
This is the first judgment, according to which Russia is obliged to pay compensation (worth about $159 million) as a result of annexation.

Russia has to compensate for losses from March 21, 2014, when Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on annexation of Crimea. It is expected that the Kremlin will appeal the decision of the Tribunal.
The trial was initiated by 18 Ukrainian companies and one individual against Russia on June 19, 2015. The claimants contended that, as of August 2014, Russia breached its obligations under the Ukraine-Russia bilateral investment treaty by interfering with and ultimately expropriating their investments in real estate located in Crimea.
After the hearing on the merits in this matter was held from Oct. 5 to Oct. 6, 2017, the Tribunal invited the parties to file post-hearing submissions by Dec. 11, 2017, but Russia ignored this opportunity.
On March 23, 2018, the Tribunal declared the hearings in this arbitration closed.

In Russia, they can punish the involvement of adolescents in protest actions
The State Duma of Russia has introduced a bill on penalties for attracting adolescents to unauthorized shares.
It is reported by Interfax.
Initiated by the members of the "United Russia" faction, the draft law provides for the responsibility of involving minors in unauthorized rallies in the form of administrative arrest of up to 15 days or a fine of up to 500 thousand rubles.
Deputies propose to supplement the RF Code of Administrative Offenses with the relevant norm, which states: "Involving a minor in participation in an unauthorized meeting, rally, demonstration, or picketing, if this act does not contain a criminal act, entails the imposition of an administrative fine on citizens in in the amount from 30 thousand to 50 thousand rubles or compulsory work for up to 100 hours, or administrative seizure for up to 15 days; on officials - from 50 thousand to 100 thousand rubles; for legal entities - from 225 thousand to 500 thousand rubles".
The repeated commission of such an offense is increased administrative liability in the form of an administrative arrest of up to 30 days and a fine of up to 1 million rubles (for legal entities).
As I note in the explanatory note to the bill, the consideration of cases on such administrative offenses will be exclusively the competence of judges, and protocols will be made by officials of the police (police).
The authors of the bill believe that it is aimed at preventing the participation of minors in unauthorized public events and "protects their life and health".
Recall that May 5 in the cities of Russia there were protests "He is not king" confined to the inauguration of Vladimir Putin. In general, across Russia, on May 5, more than 1,600 people were detained on the "He is not king" campaign , including children.

The US Department of Justice has invited a private briefing to be held on Thursday, the chairman of the Special Committee on Intelligence of the House of Representatives of the Congress of Demin Nunes, and the Committee on Supervision and Governmental Reform of the Lower Chamber, Trey Gaudi.
As informs Censor.NET with reference to TASS, this was reported on Wednesday by the TV channel Fox News.
According to the TV channel, the briefing is devoted to the request for the provision of secret documents concerning the investigation of allegations of conspiracy between the presidential headquarters of President Donald Trump and the Russian authorities.
According to the TV channel, the Ministry of Justice has sent an invitation to these two congressmen after Tuesday's meeting in the White House by Deputy Justice Minister Rod Rosenstane, his assistant Ed O'Kallahan and Chief of Staff of the White House John Kelly. Roosevelt made a working trip to New York, but was hurriedly recalled to Washington to attend this meeting. During her, the participants talked loudly with Nunness and Guody, assuring them of the readiness of the Justice Ministry to provide them with interesting information.
Earlier, Nunes sent a letter to Rozenstown and FBI director Christopher Ree with a request to provide him with the requested information. The congressman recalled that on August 24, 2017, the Committee demanded that the FBI and the Ministry of Justice decrypt electronic communications, which allowed the investigation into the Trump campaign, but the requested information was provided in full and the secret service refused to provide more detailed information to the committee.
The Special Investigation Committee completed its investigation concerning the conspiracy of Trump's team with the Kremlin and Russian interference in the election.

Clothing with Soviet symbols can still be purchased on the Adidas website
The German sports brand, after a scandal that broke out in connection with the use of Soviet symbols on some of the things in the new collection, removed them from their Internet resources, but not all of them.
You can still buy a dress and a T-shirt with the coat of arms of the USSR on the German site Adidas, reports Censor. NET.
Let's remind, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania expressed surprise by using the Soviet symbols as the sports brand Adidas. The Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance appealed to a subsidiary of the Adidas sports brand in Ukraine with a reminder of the responsibility for distributing products in Ukraine using prohibited symbols of the communist totalitarian regime.
Later, in the official online store of Adidas there were only products with state symbols of the Russian Federation.

Communist Party of Britain embraces comrade Corbyn
As the longtime leader of the Communist Party of Britain called comrades to order at London’s Marx Memorial Library, it was hard not to regard him as a museum piece in a room cluttered with them.
On the far wall facing Robert Griffiths, 66, was a faded banner honouring the British Battalion that fought in the Spanish Civil War; behind him, portraits of Fidel Castro and Karl Marx gazed at one another. In the space in between, a few dozen greying Communists congregated like veterans of an old war.
“It’s never been quite as bad on the ground as the commentators and the pundits and the ideologues announcing the end of history say,” said Mr Griffiths. “There have always been people who share at least some of your ideals.”
Its members may number no more than a thousand, and even some on the left deride them as a paunchy joke — or worse, as apologists for Vladimir Putin and Bashar al-Assad. Still, the Communist Party of Britain is experiencing an unlikely burst of relevance in a nation that is rediscovering leftwing politics.
The Communists’ longstanding policies — from public ownership of the railways and utilities, to taxing the rich and opposing the EU — are suddenly in vogue. And they have friends at the highest levels of a changing Labour party led by Jeremy Corbyn.
Mr Corbyn for many years wrote a regular column in Morning Star, the Socialist daily newspaper with close links to the party. (Its predecessor, The Daily Worker, was founded by the Communist Party of Great Britain in 1930.) He surprised guests at Morning Star’s Christmas party last year and, along with his inner circle, is said to be a regular reader.
Andrew Murray, one of the Labour leader’s advisers, was — until recently — a Communist party member. Seumas Milne, Mr Corbyn’s communications director, is also close to the party.
“They do have some people in and around Corbyn’s office who are very sympathetic to their politics,” said Simon Hannah, author of A Party With Socialists In It: A History Of The Labour Left.........................
