Tennis player Serena Williams accused judges of being sexist after defeat at the US Open D0d8818f47ac9b08d

American tennis player Serena Williams, after defeat at the US Open, claimed that the referee had been unfairly fined during the finals.

This was reported by Al-Jazeera.

During the first set, Judge Carlos Ramos issued a warning for a coach who was banned from the Grand Slam tournaments, and in the second installment the American was fined for a point and issued a second warning for breaking the racket.

In a dispute with a judge, Williams called Ramos a "thief", for which she took one gay, which increased the separation of Japanese women from an American woman.

During a press conference after the game, Williams accused Carlos Ramos of judging sexism.

"I saw other tennis players call judges in different words," she said.

"He never picked up a gay man, for what he called a thief," Williams said.

She noted that it seemed to her "sexist remarks."

In the media there were indignation and discussions about the situation after the final.

"The unpleasant scene eclipsed Osaka's brilliant game (winning the tournament - ed.), Which wept quietly during a ceremony that was to become the coronation of a new female tennis star," wrote Wall Street Journal sports correspondent Tom Perrotta.

For the 20-year-old Japanese tennis player Naomi Osaka, this victory became the first title of the "Great Helmet" series. Japanese Prime Minister Sinzo Abe congratulated his compatriot on his Twitter page.

The former number one racket, Billie Jean King, has been defending Sereny Williams, stating that in tennis there are "double standards" for men and women, and the ones that the man considers "straightforward," the woman will be considered "hysterical".

A resident of the British city of Ashford, in Kent, has been accused by the manufacturer of hats for her daughter in sexism.

The Japanese company Nikon was accused of sexism through an advertising campaign devoted to 32 professional photographers from all over the world - among the listed authors there was not a single woman.
