Election of the UN Secretary General: Moldova nominated former Foreign Minister

The candidacy of former Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Natalia Gherman put forward for the post of United Nations Secretary-General.
A letter of recommendation sent to the UN signed by Moldovan Prime Minister Paul Philip, reports "Ukrinform"
"Natalia Gherman - distinguished diplomat, and its quality and achievements are known both in Moldova and abroad", - stated in the letter.
Herman in different years was representative of Moldova to the OSCE and other international organizations, Ambassador to Sweden, Norway and Finland. From 2013 to 2016 - Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova.
Earlier, the UN General Assembly has sent letters to the governments of 193 countries, which reported about the beginning of the selection of candidates for the post of Secretary-General of the organization. New UN Secretary-General to begin work January 1, 2017
