Supporters of the independence of Catalonia went out to the streets in Barcelona

Many people came out with the flags of Catalonia
Thousands of Catalonia supporters from Spain came to rallies in Barcelona and other cities to support the referendum on independence scheduled for October 1.
Many went out with the flags of Catalonia and signs calling for the vote for independence. The Spanish government has declared the referendum unlawful and requires not to hold it. Politicians-separatists call for the printing and distribution of posters that support the referendum.
Carmen Forcade, Speaker of the Regional Parliament of Catalonia, said, turning to the crowd in Barcelona: "I beg you to go out and vote! Vote for the future of Catalonia!"
The Spanish Constitutional Court has suspended the operation of a local law that calls for a referendum and the police impede preparation for voting.
Separatists, however, insist on theirs, promising to declare independence, if the referendum will win the favored withdrawal from Spain.
