Robert Sharki, who now lives in Grace Hill, Bangor, burst into the house of Mary Conlon in August 2015 after her death. He then stole his bank card and used it to pay his bills for telephone, small products and spent around 6,000 pounds on a pizza from the Domino`s network.
A 68-year-old woman was found in her bedroom apartment in Larkspur Rise, West Belfast, in October 2017. Since January 2015 it has not been seen.
Sharqi, who at that time was Mrs. Conlon's neighbor, was arrested and charged with preventing the lawful burial of the corps in the period from August 2015 to October 2017.
When the charge was brought to court on Tuesday, September 11, he pleaded guilty. Charki also pleaded guilty to breaking into a neighbor's house and rob it, taking tools, batteries, 50 pounds in cash, her First Trust debit card, and some other trivia.
He also acknowledged six separate cases of fraud when he used a card without the authority of Mrs. Conlon.
From October 2015 to 2017, he used a card to buy 5,988.39 pounds sterling for food from the Domino`s pizza restaurant , and from July 2016 to October 2017 he spent £ 3,279.80 on Sainsbury's products.
He also bought a mobile phone from O2 Ltd for £ 1,030 from March 2016 to October 2017. The card was used to pay Power NI £ 285, as well as payments to the Department of Financial Management of Land and Property in the amount of 573.83 pounds sterling in September 2016 and £ 586.20 in September 2017.
The only accusation denied by Sharkey is that he broke the apartment of John Conlon from June to October 2015 and stole the debit card of the Bank of Ireland. He will be convicted on Friday October 12th for 10 accusations that he has admitted.
