Former Ambassador to the Vatican appear in court for abuse of children

Former Archbishop and the Vatican ambassador in the Dominican Republic, Josef Wesolowski (Jozef Wesolowski) on July 11 to face trial for abuse of children.
66-year-old Wesolowski was withdrawn from the Dominican Republic in 2013. The local press accused him that he was paying boys for sexual acts.
Pope Francis has ordered a criminal investigation, and in September 2014 Wesolowski was taken into custody. This was the first arrest for pedophilia Vatican.
After the arrest of the Polish Archbishop investigators found child pornography on his computer.
If convicted Wesolowski faces up to eight years in prison for sexual assault against children and two years for possession of child pornography. It may also be extradited to the Dominican Republic or in Poland - says "Left Bank" referring to the agency "Reuters".
