Twitter has called on social network users to change the access passwords for their accounts

Twitter has called users of the service to change the access passwords to their accounts due to the identified internal vulnerability.
According to Censor.NET, this is written by Dzerkalo of the week.
The company explained that they kept passwords in an encrypted form, so that access to them was impossible. However, as it turned out, before the encryption passwords were stored in its original form in the internal file.
"For reinsurance, we ask you to think about changing the password on all services where you used it," - said in a message distributed by the company on Thursday, May 3.
According to Reuters , the vulnerability in Twitter was detected a few weeks ago. Signs that someone got access to user passwords is not available, but the company has decided not to hide this information.
On April 17, the global microblogging service hit Twitter. Access problems started at around 16:30 in Kyiv. Users of Israel, Angola, Canada, USA, Bahrain, Sweden, France, India, Ukraine and other countries complained about impossibility to connect to the network. Most complaints came from the United States, Western Europe and Japan.
